HOI-POI 005 ✩ Action (Fourth Wall Event)

Hey, hey! How did you get here? Did you use a portal or something? Can you get back there?

[The New Feathers season isn't over as far as she knows, but this isn't normal. So many people and all of them already dressed properly? Or at least not with the standard New Feathers arrival attire... They don't have wings but those could be hidden easily, she knows that so unless she can touch their backs to investigate she can't claim they lack them... Which means that together with stopping anyone and everyone to ask questions they probably can't answer but are still worth of asking, she will be trying to examine them.

If it's a handsome guy she may even examine a bit further even. Further down, specifically.]

[It's not easy to inspect him with him bopping but she manages so. Now... What the heck is he saying?]

[Hello, Bulma. Have one teenaged Saiyan prince scowling at you for all your annoying questions.]

[Oh, Vegeta.]

Oh, it's you. I thought you were one of the new people.

[Disappointed, so very much. How could she make such a mistake? Except that there seems to be something odd in him? Hmmm...]

[He's short as always - maybe even shorter than usual. His tail is still present too, and it's fluffed up angrily.

That, and he very obviously does not have wings. With Vegeta's usual attire, they'd be impossible to hide.]

...you know me?

[It's not as if she spends her time looking at his ass in order to notice the stupid tail. But indeed, she saw someone without wings so she assumed it was a newcomer, but it was Vegeta, which was impossible given his attire. She was shaken by seeing his face, at first, but her brain soon catches up again.

That and he's surprised by her knowing him... So... It's Vegeta. From before Namek at the very least, maybe from even before that... Would it be too obvious if she turned and ran away back to the house and locked the door? Probably. And it would be pretty useless as well.]

Well... Let's just make sure I'm not mistaking you for someone else, okay? Are you the great Vegeta, prince of all Saiyans, the strongest of them all?

[She would say "strongest of the universe" but... Freeza. And yes, she's totally aiming to stroke his ego. Stroking his ego is the best way to get things to work with him when she's unsure of if her life is in danger.]

[He relaxes slightly. At first he'd been terrified that Frieza had dumped him into some new and very dangerous situation (there was someone so strong here that he could feel it, it made him break out in a cold sweat - even Frieza himself couldn't compare), but perhaps he was being rewarded for good service?

Not that he particularly feels like it at the moment with that power nearby, but she is nice to look at. He smirks.]

That's right.

[A brief pause. Is he going to actually ask for her name? Oh, nope, he's just giving orders.]

Get me something to eat.

[Yeah, don't bother asking the servant for her name. It's not as if you ever actually use it even when you know it. She shouldn't but she can't help to smile, you really don't change, do you? It shouldn't be as comforting of a thought as it is.]

As you wish, my prince. Would you like a full course or just something light?

[Of course both options mean lots and lots of cooking for her, but one means a bit less work than the other.]

Something light.

[He leans forward and looks at her wings curiously. Hmm. Winged humanoid, no other unusual features. It's not a race he's familiar with.]

I will come with you. Tell me about this place.

[English, do you speak it? Because he doesn't, beyond odd phrases.]

[He does a handstand and starts spinning on his head like a top.] ＨＥＡＤＳＰＩＮ！！

[The wings flutter playfully as he looks at them. She's considering what to do next, play nice? Tell the truth? Lie and make things fit the best way possible with what he may be expecting and wanting? Goku is around so even if Vegeta gets out of control he surely can put him in his place, specially seeing how young he is -though he doesn't seem to be much different, maybe a bit shorter and the tail of course-. Still, she could be dead before Goku got there, or anyone else could die... She's not in the mood for death and destruction to be the theme of the day.

She nods and starts to lead the way.]

Over here, my prince. This is planet Luceti at the 9045 XY coordinates, [This is a test, to see if he recognizes the coordinates as Namek's ones or not. If he does she can say they are the coordinates from the opposite direction.] a resort to rest and relax. We also posses training facilities, of course, to keep up with daily training.

[Something like that should work. Though she doubts Freeza really was the type to reward people, some system had to be in place besides terror, right? Right?]

[Her world only has one language, and it's not English. She can speak Namekian though. And she's tempted to start to talk it, because this makes no sense.

And then he starts to dance.]

Oh, that's quite good!

[Clapping, okay he has got some impressive moves. Though that headspin thing doesn't look healthy... It could explain this situation a bit though.]

[He doesn't recognize them. That area of space is unimportant; he's never been sent there.]

...rest and relax.

[His voice is flat. Sending a woman for entertainment? Yeah, Frieza did that from time to time. But a resort? Never. This is a trick. Frieza just wants him to let his guard down so he can shove the fact that Vegeta belongs to him in his face again. He growls suddenly and grabs her by the collar.]

What is this place really for?!

[There's a slight edge of terror to his voice, one that he'd learned to control as he got older. He hadn't learned that one just yet.]

[Okay, maybe it won't work after all. There's one brief instant of fear running through her but it's only one second, before she realizes that she's still not dead -when Vegeta wants something dead he kills it, no talking needed, and she knows it- and that his voice has a small edge that she should have never heard. If asked she certainly will deny to have ever heard it, even if she did, when the proud prince was too wounded and riding on a fever too high to drag himself to the gravity machine to train, when he slept through days and was haunted with nightmares.

It makes the smile drop from her face. She really hates to hear that in his voice. He shouldn't be able to have that type of edge, it doesn't fit him. To be scared, worried. It makes her wonder, he had been so strong in Namek, so scary and confident and everything, just as later on. But now? Now he's clearly just pulling an act... Just how bad was his life with Freeza? Her hands don't tremble when she moves them to clasp around the hand that's grabbing her by the collar. It's not a threatening movement, and it has no strength to it. Her eyes look at him seriously, challenging even if she tries to hide it because challenging him doesn't sound like a the right idea now. She talks calmly, in a factual and bussines-mode manner.]

Prince Vegeta, I was told you were no fool unlike all the others so I hope you will know better than to make things difficult for yourself. What this place is for is nothing you should concern with, you're a warrior after all, aren't you? All you're required and expected to do is rest, relax and use the training facilities once or twice at minimum. You're scheduled to return to your regular missions soon and it would be a real pity if you were to refuse to cooperate. He doesn't like it when people don't cooperate and try to cause trouble here, so far none of the soldiers sent here have done so and it's getting quite tiresome.

[That's all it takes. He releases her, swallowing hard and looking away. He despises Frieza with every fiber of his being, but he'll obey. What's the point of rebelling? He's not strong enough, not yet.

But he will be someday. He just has to survive that long, and he will do whatever it takes to do so, including following the instructions of this woman.]

...very well. Let's continue to wherever you store the food.

[Wow, that worked. No more questions, no demands to know who "he" is... Bulma never thought much of Freeza other than he was a crazy evil alien and the universe was better without him, but she's starting to feel... Angry. She continues to lead the way as she thinks.

One thing is sure, this Vegeta is from way before he learned about the dragon balls, so maybe even before Raditz wen t to Earth? How old did that make him? Less than twenty-nine for sure, maybe his middle twenties or early ones? Ah, but Goku looked already like he does now basically when he was nineteen so... At minimum he should be that old. There's a margin of ten years then in which he could fall in then? She doesn't want to think of him being even younger.

It doesn't take long for them to arrive to the house.]

This is where you'll stay while you're here, so return here whenever you go out, please.

[Will he be here long enough to actually need that? The entrance leads right away to the living room and in the back of the room the kitchen's entrance can be seen, that's where she heads to. He wants food and he will get food.]

[Well, when he pulls his legs tightly together, it forms a smaller and thus faster spiral. That probably looks even less healthy. But then he uses his arms to launch himself onto his feet, and then back onto a headstand, and then back on his feet.]

ＤＯＮ’Ｔ　ＳＴＯＰ　ＤＡＮＣＩＮ’！！

[Her estimation of his age is correct - he's still a teenager, but just barely. He regards the house suspiciously, opening the door and peering inside. Alright, the source of that power isn't here. Vegeta walks over to the nearest chair and sits down hard, lashing his tail about anxiously. He keeps his eyes on Bulma the entire time, wondering now if she's going to report back about his behavior.]

Where are the facilities?

[If he's going to stay here, he might as well get cleaned up.]

That's really impressive, but are you sure it's healthy? You could get hurt.

[Crossing her arms now and just looking at him. Trying to stop him in an actively manner? No dice.]

[She eyes him as she starts to cook, okay... Based on her extensive -not really- knowledge of the average saiyan prince, Vegeta version... She will make the wild guess that he wants a bath.]

You can shower at the room next door. Or you could have a bath if you prefer to. Depends on how soon you want to eat, don't think I'm a slow cook who can't prepare enough food for you in what it takes you to take a mere shower.

[She has experience, man. And she's going to make the best food you have ever eaten. Not that she wants to impress you, it would be useless anyway.]

[He answers with a noncommittal grunt (the height of Saiyan communication!), heading for where she said the shower was. No time for a bath, something might attack while he was falling asleep in the water and that would just be... uncomfortable.

It doesn't take him long to get cleaned up and he's back out with a towel around his waist within ten minutes. There's no reason for modesty. Even at this age, he was covered in scars - maybe he even wants her to see them, to see how experienced he is in battle.]

Ｉ　ＬＩＶＥ　ＦＯＲ　ＤＡＮＣＥ！！

[Actually, he is technically dead...but he is at least dancing on his feet the way god intended for now, though.]

Good for you. But any dangerous moves and you will be dead by dance.

[Or Goku could arrive while Vegeta was in the bath... Bulma should probably think of a way to tell Vegeta about that. He probably can feel Goku already. But, again, what if he vanishes before Goku gets there? No point in making things difficult... Though maybe she should try to say something so he knows it's not a threat.

Right, as if he would believe her.

By the time Vegeta is out there's a feast worthy of him, not as big as if he had asked for a full course, but enough to satiate his hunger for a "light" meal. Assuming his eating habits haven't changed, that is. He may spot some of his favorites, even... Or maybe not as he may not know about Earth's cooking yet most probably. Bulma's sitting on a chair, patiently waiting, and she doesn't bother to dissimulate the checking she does to his body. No man can expect to walk into a room covered by just a towel and not be checked. She can't help to smile a bit, though, as she looks at all the scars he has already and mentally notes all the scars that he still doesn't have. How cute, he probably thinks he is very experienced, but he has nothing to do against his own self twenty years in the future or so.]

I hope the food will be up to your standards.

[The plan to have her note his experience did NOT go like he wanted. He feels kind of shy with her smiling at him like that - what, does she think this is an invitation? This is the equivalent of him baring his teeth, you stupid woman!

But all frustration evaporates when he sees the food set out before him. He nods and begins stuffing his face with only marginally more manners than Goku.]

It will do.
